Samantha “Sammy” Serio

Samantha Serio (she/her) is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Through her diverse nursing background, she has developed a passion for supporting patients as they navigate mental health challenges including acute suicidal ideation, inpatient psychiatric admission, medical emergencies, chronic illnesses, and more. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University.

Specialties

Sammy provides medication management and brief psychotherapy to individuals ages 16+ experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma disorders, bipolar disorders, and other mental health issues. She has a particular interest in women’s mental health, including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and is dedicated to supporting clients through these experiences. Sammy is LGBTQIA+ affirming.
