Psychiatric Services

Healing Circle Counseling offers psychiatric medication management.  Psychiatry is a field of medicine in which providers use medication to treat mental and behavioral health disorders. Psychiatric care providers are licensed, medical professionals. Patients will see a medical doctor (MD), an advanced nurse practitioner (PMHNP) or a physician assistant (PA) for their care.

Medication management can be a tool to assist in your emotional stability so that you can apply the coping skills needed for symptom management and recovery.  Our providers collaborate closely with therapists, PCP’s and other providers that are integral to your care.

Our providers will meet with you on your first appointment and get a detailed history of your symptoms, and medical and psychiatric history.  Together, your treatment plan is developed between you and your provider to give you the best treatment outcomes and care. They will educate you on your options and medication. They will discuss the benefits/risks, side effects, titration, and any other concerns you may have during your visit.  Together, you will then decide on a follow-up schedule to effectively manage your treatment.

We offer psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults within our own practice.  Our providers have years of experience in a variety of patient care settings.  We are glad you are here and we are able to help you on your medication journey.

If you have serious side effects, please contact your provider before your follow-up visit.  If you have a life-threatening reaction to the medication, please seek immediate medical care at your local emergency room.
