Alicia Rocha

Alicia Rocha (she/her)  is a recent MSW graduate from VCU pursuing her licensure. She has supported children, adolescents, and adults presenting with mental health challenges. She has worked for a non-profit that directly supported students in underfunded school systems. She supported middle school-aged students navigating housing insecurity, COVID-19, trauma, and mental health diagnoses. During this time, Alicia created age-appropriate interventions and support groups that allowed youth to express themselves in a safe space and find support among peers. Alicia recognizes that everyone has different life experiences and aims to support individuals in a way that fits them. She has previously worked with adults navigating trauma-related experiences such as cancer diagnosis, grief, and life transitions. Alicia has completed grief-related training that aims to engage individuals in their grief journey and establish coping styles that are comfortable for them. She maintains an empathetic and calm self when supporting all individuals. Alicia strives to create a safe and empowering space for clients as they take the next steps in their journey.
