Linda Zaffram
Linda Zaffram (she/her) is the Founder, Owner and CEO of Healing Circle Counseling and Services. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 20+ years social work experience developing community outreach programs. Linda has experience in program development and coordination experience in non-profit, government and the private sector. She developed a mental health program, for a federally qualified health center, where she was the program manager, supervisor and clinician working with the indigent and underserved for 9 years. Linda serves as a field instructor and mentor for Master’s level social work students at Virginia Commonwealth University. She currently supervises Master of Social Work supervisees, who see clients at HCC, for licensure. Her experience includes working with children and adolescents, adults, couples, families as well as groups. Linda has experience working with multidisciplinary teams, medical social work, crisis/emergency services, inpatient, outpatient, play therapy, psychosocial assessments, case management, treatment planning, group therapy, public education as well as connecting clients and families to services within the community. She has 25+ years of supervisory and program management experience in the for-profit and non-profit arenas.
As a young child, Linda knew she wanted to help others. Helping others comes naturally to her and she is passionate about it. She loves bearing witness to the process of self discovery and helping clients courageously explore the unknown. She is attuned to her clients and brings her “whole” self to the session. She has compassion for other’s suffering. She is honest, raw, will give you tough love or embrace you when you need it. Her style is warm and open. She offers a space to “just be” that is free from judgement and offers unconditional positive regard. She will occasionally, or often, drop the F bomb. Linda sees the value in the dichotomy of joy and pain in life. Striving to help clients understand “where they came from”, themselves and their wants in life is part of the therapeutic process. You are hurting, which is why you are here. Linda can help you navigate your journey to live the life you want and to grow as your true self.
