Karli Shank

Karli Shank (she/her) obtained her MSW at VCU and has years of experience working both inpatient and outpatient in perinatal health.  Anxiety and depression are the #1 complication of pregnancy and childbirth. Karli believes this isn’t talked about enough. She is passionate about supporting families throughout their perinatal journey.  She uses a nonjudgmental, strengths based approach to help individuals navigate and adjust to such a significant life transition. Karli recognizes that the perinatal experience often comes with the unexpected and for that, she is a listener. She is here to bear witness to the very real difficulties that come with trying to conceive, pregnancy, and parenthood. Karli is trained to guide mindful meditations, cultivating intentional awareness to foster our capacity to be with what is and trust in ourselves. Karli uses both mindfulness and solution focused techniques, tapping into your resilience, and ultimately promoting your overall well-being.
