Caitlyn Patey

Caitlyn Patey (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Healing Circle Counseling and Services.  Caitlyn has experience working in hospital, non-profit, university, and private therapy practice settings.  She has spearheaded the creation of support groups and skills groups in her experience and also has experience working with multidisciplinary teams, crisis services, inpatient and outpatient mental health services, biopsychosocial-spiritual assessments, treatment planning, individual therapy, couples/marital therapy, and group therapy. Caitlyn has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including but not limited to: college students, individuals hospitalized for mental health related concerns, adults, couples, individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, caregivers, and individuals recovering from a stroke.

Caitlyn works with adults ages 18 and older. Her areas of clinical expertise include couples counseling, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family of origin concerns, stress management, communication skill building, coping skills, adjustment, life/role transitions, caregiving concerns with focus on Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia caregiving. Caitlyn is LGBTQIA+ affirming.

Modalities

Caitlyn’s approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based, and holistic. She believes that engaging in therapy requires vulnerability and courage and works to create a safe, collaborative, and affirming setting to allow for trust to build and therapeutic work to occur. Caitlyn works primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral framework through Interpersonal and Feminist theory lenses.
